Mandy asks…
What is the best program/software to design a web page that changes photos frequently?
What is the best web page design program for regularly updating and deleting photos with descriptions?
I’m starting a home based business and will need to create a web page. My Inventory will be changing frequently, so I need something that allows me to post pictures of new inventory and delete sold inventory on a fairly regular basis. What would be the best program to do this for a beginner?
Thank you in advance!
Nagesh answers:
You can use dreamwaver. You can also try joomla, wordpress to make your website. For the beginner my suggestion is wordpress.

What am I doing wrong on Yahoo! Answers?
For the past few weeks, I’ve been posting thoughtful, relevant answers to a variety of question people have posted here, primarily in the area of business. Yet several of my answers have been “reported by the Yahoo! Answers community” and removed, apparently for violating the community guidelines. One of the answers that was reported and removed had actually been cited as the best answer to that particular question – rather curious, I’d say.
So I receive all these emails telling me my answers have been removed, but no specifics as to why my answers were in violation. That makes absolutely no sense. Can you imagine being arrested by a policeman for committing an unspecified crime?
I’m the editor and publisher of a website about business – home based business, to be precise. I cite that fact, along with a link to my website, in the resource box provided at the end of each answer. I’ve been involved with home based business in various capacities for almost 25 years, so I have some knowledge and expertise in this area. I think my answers to date reflect that.
I began posting in Yahoo! Answers with the idea that some people might check out my site and benefit further from the information that’s provided there. In return for that possibility, I provide thoughtful, relevant answers to people’s business related questions.
I don’t specifically ask people to visit my site. In fact, here’s exactly what I put in the resource box:
“As Editor and Publisher at http://www.home–based-business-school.com, Bob Ford helps home based entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and goals.”
Hyperbole? I don’t think so.
Can someone who has been here for a while please give me some insight as to what the problem might be?
Nagesh answers:
Well, OK … I’ve been here awhile.
Posting a link IN YOUR ANSWER to your own site, and self-promotion, are indeed considered spamming/solicitation.
What you can do, if you wish, is to post the site link and the bio information in your Y!A profile. You can point users toward your profile (and your site) by mentioning that more information is available there, but you cannot ADVERTISE on the site itself. You could say, in your answer, ‘I have helped home-based entrepreneurs … ‘, but to speak of yourself in the third person indicates that you are pushing a product or service and that you are using Yahoo! Answers for free advertising.
Honestly I would not bother appealing any of those deletions. Other users’ ranting and misinformation aside, the likelihood of winning on appeal is virtually nil.

Computer Recommendations?
What is the best time to post computer related Qs to get the most answers?
Late last night I posted a Q asking for recommendations for a Home based writing / publishing business and got only one response……
I am hoping more people will respond this morning OR do most people only respond to live Qs – and not a few hours old from previous night???
thanks

Best site to buya web domain?
I’m looking for a site that to buy a web domain for a small business for work at home moms. What site would you suggest based on price especially?
Nagesh answers:
If you are looking to just buy a domain then http://www.godaddy.com is a great option. If you are seeking web hosting options as well, then I suggest you take a look at several. Most web hosts will register your domain as part of a package. If you are looking to build a site on your own then there are some great options out there. There are a few great web hosts that will guide you through the process. To get the best fit for you when it comes to web hosting, first compare feature-by-feature then dollar-for-dollar. Not only will that ensure the best fit but, you will get the most out of your money too. You can take a look at the web host that I chose as one of your options at http://www.customized-by-you.com

Nagesh answers:
Work in a polotical office, you dont have to run for office or anything but computer knowledge is a must, you will work w/ others, will meet a lot of people, things will always be changing, you will do investigating when working on a constituents issue to find ways to resolve it, you do talk on the phone some but not all day, it can be stressful during “session” but during non session times its slow and peaceful.
