Question about Varathane, acrylic paint and clay?
So, I paint over my clay beads with acrylic paints, and when I do, they get a little sticky, and attract hair and dust like a magnet. I read on the internet that Water-based Varathane floor finisher is the best thing to use for a nice hard coat since acrylic sprays will only leave the finish stickier. Even water-based acrylic finish. So what would you recommend? Would you recommend water-based Varathane as well? I really need help with this, since I have a home–based business to attend to.
Nagesh answers:
Static cling can be tricky no matter what object, clay designs with acrylic cover, the sealer glaze in acrylic should harden and no longer be sticky per say, or clingy, other reason for cling could be room temperature or dryness, and objects in room itself, like a carpet creating static, and plastic bags or items contracting cling from static, then passing on to artwork, see if moderating barometric atmosphere in room to damp to dry helps change moisture content and sticky cling to objects,

Can anybody explain to me, in plain and simple words, how writing off business expenses work?
I have searched other questions on here and come up with one Best Answer that directed me to the IRS website, but I am still unclear. I have a home–based Administrative, Secretarial and Computer Training business that I work on part-time, in addition to my full-time job. I applied for the Tax ID Number about 3 years ago, but haven’t done anything with the business until three or four months ago. I now have one client, who has paid me a total of $170 so far this year. I have four business accounts and have purchased some minor office supplies (stapler, paper, camera, paperclips, pens, etc.). I also purchased a new desktop computer with my business account. I have a room setup as an office in my home.
If don’t think I’ll make over $400 this year because I am still trying to figure out ways to advertise. If I don’t make a profit, do I have to pay taxes? I saw something about the IRS wanting you to make a profit within 3-5 years, but what if I don’t?
I really don’t plan on purchasing any other major office supplies until I get some more business. I recently got a tax form from the IRS saying I needed to file taxes, but on what? I made no income from the business, except in 2007 which is the $100 something dollars I mentioned earlier.
I understand that I can write off anything that is related and necessary for my business. I also understand that I should keep track of everything (gas mileage, etc.). Say for instance, if I have a business gas card and I use $100 for personal gas and $100 for business gas, do I just deduct the business gas?
What if I spend more money trying to advertise and get the business up and running, than I make? Let’s say I spend $2,000 in 2008 but I only make $500. Does that mean I have a loss of $1,500? I really can’t afford an Accountant so I am trying to figure this out on my own. I think I can get it if somebody can explain it to where I can understand it.
Any help that you can provide!

Broadband, high-speed Internet, cable Internet, DSL, WiFi or WiMax?
What is The Different uses for these Internet connection, and what is the best or most recommended. Im trying to figure out what would be best for a home Internet business. I use Magic Jack and this is what there compatible with. I would like to take my business on the road and not be limited. So whats the fasted home base internet, and what would you suggest for the road. I cant use satalite or dial up.
Nagesh answers:
I wouldn’t use wireless at home for business – while wifi can be made pretty secure, it can’t be made completely secure. Do you really want to trust your business information to security that people constantly work to break?
On the road you can get an interconnect card from your cellular provider and have internet access (slower than broadband) anywhere you have cellular access. If you just need to connect to web sites, read and send email, etc., you can get a cell phone that can access the internet.

whats the best way to get onto the first few pages of a search engine?
i have a home based health and beauty products business
Nagesh answers:
You need to perform search engine optimization for your site. It is hard work and there is lots and lots of misinformation about the subject (for example the advice above to put keywords in the meta tag). Find expert advice you can trust like this free tutorial here for example http://www.seo-blog.com/tutorial.php
