Home in Florida sale question?

My wife and I moved to Florida with our homebased book business about 6 months ago. The garage has been transformed into a book warehouse with shelving storing about 8-10 thousand books. Sales are very good and easily pay the mortgage. The house was 2 years old but still new when we moved in. Due to illness we need to sell both the books and the house. What is the best way to go about this?
It is an internet-only based business with most sales being on Amazon and Ebay, the rest on about 15 other venues. We can provide the exact value of the inventory. It is a turn-key business which can be handled easily while working full-time.
It is not in violation of zoning laws, we made sure before we moved here.

Nagesh answers:

U do NOT need to sell either. Business owners get sick all the time.

HIRE someone to come [who has a degree in biz] and run the
biz from either your home or out of a biz rented space.

Or……….tell me more.

IN some cases, even home based businesses have a re-sale value
and biz brokers will take them on.

Let me work for you – HOME BASED?

Hi, I am 23 years old and due to have a baby in a months time. (my 1st) My Partner works full time so when he is at work I am always looking for things to amuse me and keep the time ticking over.

I am a highly experienced Secretary/PA, I am looking for someone to offer me the chance to work for them from Home. I am a very Hard Worker and would do any job to the best of my ability.

I have always worked Full Time, since I left school, and I HATE not working.

If anyone has a business and could do with a helping hand from myself, PLEASE get in touch. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

Many Thanks in advance…

P.S Although I am due to have a baby, which in itself is a full time job, I would have my mother around alot to help so that I can work from home..

I am based in Liverpool, ENGLAND.. I have worked in various fields, such as, Medical Secretary, Legal & Law, Surveyors and a Magazine Company.

Carol asks…

Laser or Inkjet Printer selection?

What is the best type of printer for a homebased business for invitation printing? I’m leaning towards a laser printer, but I’m not sure what kind.

Nagesh answers:

Lasers are more expensive but if it is a small business, you can still use the deskjet. Nowadays, the quality on glossy is very very good.

If you decide for a deskjet, get a wide-format like the HP 9650. At elast you are not limited and can even print brochures ad this printer handles up to 13 x 19 and down to 4 x 6 as well as envelops etc..
Just a thought. I started with that and with the money I made, I purchased a color laserjet.

Also, when you print on a desket, if you are using glossy paper, don’t set the quality to BEST but rather, leave it at normal. Because you are using glossy paper, you won’t need that much ink which is why I suggest normal. The final product will still be very very crisp.

Enjoy

Maria asks…

What’s the best way to get customers for a carpet cleaning business? We also repair vacuums on site.?

We can’t afford an ad in the yellow pages or yellow book.
So of these which is the best choice?
FLYERS
COLD CALLING ( of course with proper authority)
NEWSPAPER AD
NETWORKING WITH BUSINESSES. If so then how?
PLease, my partner and I are very good at what we do. I was a home based vacuum cleaner repair business, but when Wallymart moved in it ruined my steady business. Hey when you can get a Bissel for $39 what in the haeck can i do. Although I will say this. I can take any vacuum and for $30 make it like new again. The secret is to do a 100% tare down and clean everything. You can even spray down the motor as long as you use high pressure air to dry it out. No local shop does this. In fact one shop here in Columbus Ohio, who is also the biggest ( they have 4 locations) said that they can’t do complete tare downs and cleaning because it costs $10,00 for the special machine to do it with. Fact is that they make money hand over fist by charging customers for new filters and selling vacs.
