Where would you suggest promoting my home based business? I am a decorating consultant with Home Interiors and gifts trying to book brochure parties and fundraisers. I am just trying to figure the best place to promote for very inexpensive. Does anyone have any ideas?

I worked for H.I. 6 years ago. Very nice products. I personally would speak with co-workers, co-workers of family and friends. As soon as you have a few parties, encourage those at the parties to have parties. It really doesn’t take long.

So many times when you sigh up for a home–based business sure they give a coach and say that there going to help drive traffic to your site. But they don’t tell you that you’ll spend thousands and not get any real traffic to your site. There are so many misleading groups and organizations that it’s hard to find something that works well.
You should have posted a link to your site instead of that ridiculous group that only includes your question.

How do I learn how to make my own website?
I want to make a very basic website of a small home–based business I’m planning to run. I just want to learn how to do it and put some basic pictures and a very basic menu (it’ll involve food so pictures are a must).
I don’t really have a difficult time learning computer-related stuff so I should be able to understand it and I’m sure there are plenty of guides, just thought asking it here might make it easier and I’d get the best response.

Learn HTML and if possible CSS.
It’s very easy to learn them both in a few days. Take up this most popular tutorial in the web :

Or you might be interested to use some GUI based tools like Front Page Express or Dream Weaver to create your website. You don’t actually need to learn anything to create a website using such softwares.
And once your website is created, you can launch it for free in the internet using some free web hosts like 99k.org or webs.com

You need to think about an unmet need that is also something you like to do. Complete a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis and write a business plan to prove that the business idea is workable. Getting a Toll Free Number for my business?
Can anyone recommend which company is the best to use in getting an 800 phone number for my home based business. I do not have a home phone, therefore I do not have long distance service to turn to for plans. I only have my cell phone.
It seems as I look on line, there are so many and it is so overwhelming, I don’t know which to choose.

Obviously you have access to a computer so I would suggest www.ringcentral.com. You can purchase minutes for use with an 800 #. There are a certain number of minutes you receive free and there are several plans to choose from. You can also use your 800# as a fax that will come in directly to your email, as do the the voice messages (unless you have them redirected (i.e. To your cell). Best of luck!!
